Vintage porcelain tea set "Origami Crane" Rosenthal

Origami that won't get crushed! Because it's not made of paper...

• porcelain tea set decorated with a two-tone origami crane folding
• the origami crane is the most famous of all origami folds
• the most common inspiration for origami folds are animals and flowers
• the history of origami dates back to the 9th century, when Shinto shrines were decorated with them
• I chose the crane symbolically. A thousand paper cranes are traditionally given by the bride's father as a wedding gift. He wishes the couple a thousand years of happiness and prosperity. It can also be given to a child for good luck and a long life. It is said that hanging them in the house brings good luck. These cranes on porcelain will bring you good luck for many years!

About the porcelain:

• the teapot has a volume of 750 ml, the sugar bowl 150 ml, the milk jug 125 ml
  
• 2 cups with saucers with a volume of 150 ml
• The porcelain comes from the German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, whose products are collector's items of high artistic value. This set is probably from the 1970s. It is a beautiful translucent thin-walled porcelain.
• the porcelain is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired in a ceramic kiln at 820 °C
  
• I do not recommend washing the products in a dishwasher or using them in a microwave oven

I sell the products as "DECORATIVE ITEMS", because Czech legislation does not allow such renovated products to be sold as products intended for contact with food.

I bought this set at a flea market. However, during packaging, an accident occurred and the lid of the teapot fell to the ground and broke into pieces. But I fell in love with the set at first sight and bought it at a discount anyway. I glued the lid with special two-component porcelain glue and it can function normally. Therefore, the set is available for purchase at a very advantageous price.

About porcelain decals:

• porcelain decals are reproductions of my computer graphics, where I tried to capture the 3D spirit of origami in 2D using different colors
• the decals are applied to the porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may vary slightly from the photo
• the decals are produced by a specialized Czech company, they are high quality and durable
