Large scarf with a touch of an autumn park in Japan, 100x100 cm

Adorn yourself with colorful autumn Japan!

• elegant large scarf decorated with reproductions of my acrylic paintings of chrysanthemums, maple leaves, ginkgo leaves, and spider lilies
• the scarf is multifunctional and can be used not only as a practical fashion accessory but also as a tablecloth or for gift wrapping using the furoshiki technique
• maples symbolize the transience of life, their leaves turn from yellow to orange to red
• ginkgo trees are sacred and were often planted near Shinto shrines
• in Japanese mythology, the spider lily "accompanies the dead" and is a reminder of transience
• in Japan, the chrysanthemum is a symbol of the emperor and the imperial family

About the textile:

• scarf dimensions are approx. 100 x 100 cm
• the colorful fabric is 100% cotton sateen, the fabric has a beautiful smooth semi-gloss finish
• the scarf can be washed (even in a washing machine) at 40°C. For long-lasting pristine condition when machine washing, we recommend placing it in a delicate laundry bag.
• ironing is possible with a cotton setting, even on the right side, including steaming
• not recommended to tumble dry
• the fabric may shrink slightly after the first wash
• we sewed the scarf directly in our studio
• the fabric is yardage composed of my original motifs and the fabric was printed for us by a Czech company

About Furoshiki:

• a traditional Japanese technique for wrapping and carrying things using a square piece of fabric
• it is used not only for gift wrapping, but you can also easily make a bag using furoshiki
• currently popular for its eco-friendliness and flexibility
