Large glass necklace with a bamboo grove motif

Walk through a bamboo grove... even at home!

• I painted bamboo branches on the glass necklace
  
• bamboo is a part of various Japanese festivals such as Tanabata
• in Japan, it is believed that bamboo groves ward off evil spirits and bring good luck
• the depiction of bamboo is a very popular motif in Japanese painting
  

About glass jewelry:

• the dimensions of the glass necklace are 25 x 22 mm.
• the bead was made in the traditional way in Jablonec nad Nisou
• I hand-painted the motif on the necklace with glass paints, which were fired at 160 °C
  
• you can even swim with the jewelry without worrying. Thanks to heat setting, the paints are waterproof
• the paints are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to avoid steel wool for cleaning :))
• the metal components are made of surgical steel and the chain is approx. 50 cm long
• the jewelry is packaged in a gift box

About painting on jewelry:

• I hand-paint on jewelry, so each product is original
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo
• I paint with special glass and porcelain paints, which are very durable after heat setting

• the collection is inspired by colorful koi carp, which are the jewels of ponds not only in Japanese gardens
• in this collection you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewelry and small paper items
