• I painted koi carp circling around the silver reflection of the moon on the water surface on the fan
• koi carp bring good luck, they are a symbol of love and friendship
• two carp are a symbol of yin and yang - symbolizing harmony and balance
• moonlight on the surface of a pond with swimming koi carp symbolizes peaceful meditation and connection with nature
• the depiction of koi carp is a very popular motif in Japanese painting

About folding "sensu" fans:

• the unfolded fan is approx. 38 cm wide
• the fan has a carved bamboo frame covered with textile (polyester)
• I hand-painted the motif on the fan with textile paints
  
• the fan is compact, you can easily take it in your handbag and have it handy anytime
• because the fan is not paper but textile, it folds and unfolds easily and you don't have to worry about it getting creased by handling

About painting on fans:

• I hand-paint on fans, and therefore each product is original
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photograph
• I paint with special textile paints
