Porcelain mug + stainless steel spoon with pagoda set
Decorate your home with historical Japan!
- porcelain mug and stainless steel spoon decorated with reproductions of my pen-and-ink drawings of a pagoda
- pagodas are multi-story towers made of wood, which arrived in Japan in the 6th century along with Buddhism
- pagodas often have five stories, each symbolizing one of the five Buddhist elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and sky)
- pagodas are part of temple complexes and prayer sites for ceremonies are located around them
About the porcelain:
- mug volume is 250 ml
- the mug is from the Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice.
-
the mug is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired in a ceramic kiln at 820 °C
- you can safely wash porcelain in the dishwasher. The decorations on the mug are very durable.
- use in a microwave oven is a matter of course

About porcelain decals:
- porcelain decals are reproductions of my original pen-and-ink drawings
- the decals are applied to porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may differ slightly from the photo
- the decals are produced by a specialized Czech company and are high quality and durable

About the spoons:
- spoon length is 13.5 cm
-
engraving done by a Czech company from Krnov
- the spoon is made of stainless steel and can be safely washed in the dishwasher
About the collection Architecture of Ancient Japan:
- the collection is inspired by significant structures of historical Japan: pagodas, torii gates, and castles
- in this collection, you will find porcelain, textiles, and small paper items
- I would be happy to place this motif on another mug or anything else
