Porcelain sushi plate with Japanese castle and pagoda, 40 x 20 cm
Decorate your home with historical Japan!
-
The porcelain plate is decorated with a reproduction of my pen drawing of a Japanese castle and pagoda with a golden sun
- castles were key military centers during conflicts between clans
- after the unification of Japan, castles were transformed into residences of nobles
- pagodas are multi-story towers made of wood that arrived in Japan in the 6th century along with Buddhism
- pagodas often have five stories, each symbolizing one of the five Buddhist elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and sky)
About the porcelain:
- the dimensions of the plate are 40 x 20 cm
- the porcelain is from a Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice
-
the porcelain is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired in a ceramic kiln at 820 °C
- the porcelain can be safely washed in a dishwasher. The decorations on the porcelain are very durable
- it is also suitable for use in a microwave oven

About porcelain decals:
- porcelain decals are reproductions of my original pen drawings
- the decals are applied to the porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may vary slightly from the photo
- the decals are produced by a specialized Czech company and are of high quality and durability
About the Ancient Japanese Architecture collection:
- the collection is inspired by significant buildings of historical Japan: the pagoda, the torii gate, and the castle
- in this collection, you will find porcelain, textiles, and small paper items
-
I would be happy to place this motif on another mug or anything else for you
