Porcelain origami crane for hanging with a bamboo grove motif

Take a walk through a bamboo grove... even in your own home!

• I painted bamboo branches on the porcelain crane
  
• bamboo is part of various Japanese festivals such as Tanabata
• in Japan, it is believed that bamboo groves ward off evil spirits and bring good luck
• the depiction of bamboo is a very popular motif in Japanese painting
  

About the porcelain ornaments:

• the wingspan of the crane is approx. 8 cm
  
• the porcelain is from a Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice
• this crane is designed for hanging (I also have a crane without a hole, which serves as a standing decoration)
• I hand-painted the motif on the crane with glass paints, which were fired at 160 °C
  
• the paints are waterproof thanks to heat fixation
• the paints are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but skip the scouring pad for cleaning :))
• I supplemented the metal components made of surgical steel with a colorful satin ribbon
• the crane is packed in a gift box

About hand painting:

• I hand-paint jewelry, so each product is original 
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo 
• I use special paints for glass and porcelain, which are very durable after heat fixing

• the collection is inspired by colorful koi carp, which are jewels of ponds not only in Japanese gardens
