• I painted the forest spirit Totoro and soot sprites on the fan
  
• the pictures are from the immensely popular animated film My Neighbor Totoro by Studio Ghibli

About folding "sensu" fans:

• the unfolded fan is approx. 25 cm wide, when folded in its case it measures approx. 23 x 4 cm
• the fan has a sturdy, decoratively carved bamboo frame covered with fabric
• I hand-painted the motif on the fan with fabric paints
  
• the fan is compact, you can easily carry it in your purse and have it ready at hand at any time
• because the fan is made of fabric, not paper, it folds and unfolds easily and you don't have to worry about it getting creased during handling
• the fan handle is decorated with colorful beads attached to a carabiner, so you can easily remove them
• the package also includes a hand-painted fabric case
