Hand-painted round "uchiwa" fan "Lake Jewels or Koi Carp in a Lotus Pond"
Let yourself be refreshed by summer Japan!
- On an ivory-colored fan, I painted orange and white koi carp swimming among lotuses in a pond
- koi carp bring good luck and are a symbol of love and friendship
- two carp symbolize yin and yang - harmony and balance
- lotuses are associated with Buddhism and symbolize purity and truth
- depictions of koi carp and lotuses are very popular motifs in Japanese painting
- the fan is approximately 24 cm wide and 38 cm long (including the handle)
- the fan has a sturdy bamboo structure covered on both sides with paper
-
I hand-painted the motif on the fan using acrylic paints and ink
- it is a traditional Japanese fan called "uchiwa"

About fan painting:
- I hand-paint on fans, so each product is original
- the resulting image may differ slightly from the photograph
- I paint with acrylic paints and ink
- I fixed the colors with a clear matte varnish for greater durability
About the Lake Jewels collection (or koi carp with the moon):
- the collection is inspired by colorful koi carp, which are the jewels of ponds, not only in Japanese gardens
- in this collection you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewelry, and small paper items
- I would be happy to put this motif on another mug or anything else for you
