Ceramic necklace with a bird on a cherry blossom branch

Adorn yourself with our little bird and cherry blossom!

• I painted a blue bird on a blooming cherry blossom branch on the ceramic necklace
• my inspiration was a 19th-century Japanese wood painting, which is in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
  
• depictions of various birds are a very popular motif in Japanese painting

About ceramic jewelry:

• the ceramic pendant has a diameter of 35 mm
  
• all ceramic components were handcrafted according to my design in a family ceramic workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
• I hand-painted the motif on the necklace with ceramic paints, which were fired at 160 °C
  
• you can even bathe with the necklace without worries. The colors are waterproof thanks to heat fixation
• the colors are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to skip using a scouring pad for cleaning :))
• metal components are made of surgical steel and the chain is approx. 50 cm long
• the jewelry comes in a gift box

About painting on jewelry:

• I hand-paint on jewelry, so each product is original 
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo 
• I paint with special glass and porcelain paints, which are very durable after heat fixation
