Ceramic brooch with a bamboo grove motif
Walk through a bamboo grove... even at home!
- I painted bamboo branches on the ceramic brooch
- bamboo is part of various Japanese festivals such as Tanabata
- in Japan, bamboo groves are believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck
-
the depiction of bamboo is a very popular motif in Japanese painting
About ceramic jewellery:
- the diameter of the ceramic ornament is 40 mm
- all ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family ceramic workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
-
I hand-painted the motif on the brooch with ceramic paints, which were fired at 160 °C
- thanks to heat fixing, the colours are waterproof, so it doesn't matter if you get caught in the rain with the brooch on your coat
- the colours are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but rather skip the scouring pad for cleaning :))
- the brooch clasp is made of jewellery metal.
- the jewellery is packaged in a gift box

About painting on jewellery:
- I hand-paint on jewellery, so each product is original
- the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo
- I paint with special glass and porcelain paints, which are very durable after heat fixing
About the Bamboo Grove collection:
- the collection is inspired by colourful koi carp, which are the jewel of ponds not only in Japanese gardens
- in this collection you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewellery and small paper items
- I will gladly make a custom product with this motif for you
