Hand-painted ceramic hair clip with a bamboo grove motif

Stroll through a bamboo grove... right at home!

• I painted bamboo branches on the ceramic hair clip
• bamboo is part of various Japanese festivals such as Tanabata
• in Japan, bamboo groves are believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck
• the depiction of bamboo is a very popular motif in Japanese painting

About ceramic jewellery:

• the clip length is 6 cm
• all ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family pottery workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
• I hand-painted the motif on the clip with ceramic paints, which were fired at 160 °C
  
• thanks to heat fixing, the paints are waterproof, so it doesn't matter if you get wet with the clip in your hair
  
• the colours are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to avoid scouring pads for cleaning :))
• the clip is made of surgical steel
  
• the jewellery comes in a gift box

About painting on jewellery:

• I hand-paint on jewellery, so each product is original
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photograph
• I paint with special glass and porcelain paints, which are very durable after heat fixing

About the collection Bamboo Grove:

• the collection is inspired by colourful koi carp, which are the jewels of ponds, not only in Japanese gardens
• in this collection you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewellery and small paper items
