Ceramic brooch with origami dragon

Origami that won't get crushed! Because it's not made of paper...

• I painted an origami dragon fold on a ceramic brooch
• the most common inspiration for origami folds are animals and flowers
• the history of origami dates back to the 9th century when Shinto shrines were decorated with them

About ceramic jewelry:

• the ceramic rectangle measures approximately 50 x 35 mm
• all ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family ceramic workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
• I hand-painted the motif on the brooch with ceramic paints that were fired at 160 °C
  
• thanks to heat fixing, the colors are waterproof, so it doesn't matter if you get caught in the rain with the brooch on your coat
• the colors are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to avoid scrubbing with a scourer :))
• the brooch pin is made of surgical steel and has a safety clasp
• jewelry is packed in a gift box

About painting on jewelry:

• I hand-paint on jewelry, so each product is unique
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photograph
• I paint with special glass and porcelain paints that are very durable after heat fixing
