Ceramic brooch with a bird on a cherry tree
Adorn yourself with our larch and cherry blossoms!
- I painted a blue bird on a blooming cherry tree on the ceramic brooch.
- My inspiration was a 19th-century Japanese wood painting, which is in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague.
-
The depiction of various birds is a very popular motif in Japanese painting.
About ceramic jewelry:
- The diameter of the ceramic ornament is 35 mm
- All ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family pottery workshop in Bořice near Domažlice.
-
I hand-painted the motif on the brooch with ceramic paints that were fired at 160 °C.
- Thanks to heat fixation, the colors are waterproof, so it doesn't matter if you get caught in the rain with the brooch on your coat.
- The colors are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to avoid scouring pads for cleaning :))
- The brooch pin is made of surgical steel and has a safety clasp.
- The jewelry is packaged in a gift box.

About painting on jewelry:
- I hand-paint on jewelry, so each product is unique.
- The resulting image may differ slightly from the photo.
- I paint with special glass and porcelain paints, which are very durable after heat fixation.
About the "Bird on a Cherry Tree" collection:
- The collection is inspired by 19th-century Japanese wood painting, which is in the Asian collections of the National Gallery in Prague.
- In this collection, you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewelry, and small paper items.
- I would be happy to paint this motif on another mug or anything else for you.
