Ceramic brooch with an origami lotus
Origami that won't get crumpled! Because it's not made of paper...
- The ceramic brooch is decorated with an origami lotus
- the most common inspirations for origami folds are animals and flowers
-
the history of origami dates back to the 9th century, when they were used to decorate Shinto shrines
About ceramic jewelry:
- the ceramic decoration measures approx. 35 x 35 mm
- all ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family pottery workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
-
the brooch is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired at 160 °C
- thanks to heat fixation, the colors are waterproof, so it doesn't matter if you get caught in the rain with the brooch on your coat
- the colors are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to skip the scourer for cleaning :))
- the brooch pin is made of surgical steel and has a safety clasp
-
the jewelry is packaged in a gift box

About porcelain decals:
- the porcelain decals are a reproduction of my computer graphics, where I tried to capture the 3D spirit of origami in 2D using various colors
- the decals are applied to the porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may differ slightly from the photograph
- the decals are produced by a specialized Czech company; they are high-quality and durable
About the collection Origami That Isn't Paper:
- the collection is inspired by real origami folds of animals and flowers
- in this collection, you will find porcelain, glass, textiles, jewelry, and small paper items
- I would be happy to make a custom product for you with this motif
