Ceramic brooch with architecture of ancient Japan, diameter 3.5 cm

Let the summer Japan refresh you!

  • ceramic brooch decorated with reproductions of my pen drawings of black buildings and a golden sun
  • pagodas often have five stories, each symbolizing one of the five Buddhist elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and sky)
  • castles were key military centers during clan conflicts
  • passing through the gate symbolizes the transition between our world and the world of deities (kami) and is meant to bring good luck

About ceramic jewelry:

  • the diameter of the ceramic ornament is 35 mm
  • all ceramic components were handmade according to my design in a family ceramic workshop in Bořice near Domažlice
  • the brooch is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired at 160 °C
  • the colors are waterproof thanks to heat fixation, so it's fine if you get wet with the brooch on your coat
  • the colors are also scratch-resistant with normal use (but it's better to skip the scourer for cleaning :))
  • the brooch pin is made of surgical steel and has a safety clasp
  • the jewelry is packaged in a gift box

About porcelain decals:

  • porcelain decals are reproductions of my original pen drawings
  • the decals are applied to the porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may slightly differ from the photo
  • the decals are produced by a specialized Czech company and are of high quality and durable

About the collection Architecture of Ancient Japan:

  • the collection is inspired by significant buildings of historical Japan: pagoda, torii gate, and castle
  • in this collection, you will find porcelain, textiles, and paper trinkets
  • I would be happy to place this motif on another mug or anything else for you
