• The inspiration was a 19th-century Japanese wood painting, which is in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
  
• depictions of various birds are a very popular motif in Japanese painting

About the porcelain:

• the volume of the mug is 650 ml
• the mug is from a Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice
• the porcelain is decorated with my original hand painting using special colors (colored glazes) for porcelain
• because these colors were fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C, they are extremely durable
• you can safely wash porcelain in the dishwasher. The colors I paint with perfectly fuse with the porcelain (they soak into the glaze), and therefore they are very durable
• use in a microwave oven is a matter of course

About hand painting:

• I hand-paint on porcelain, which makes each product original
• the resulting image may therefore differ slightly from the photo
• I paint with special colored glazes that are very durable
