• Porcelain mug with hand-painted bird on a sakura
• My inspiration was a 19th-century Japanese wood painting, which is in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
  
• depictions of various birds are a very popular motif in Japanese painting

About the porcelain:

• the mug's volume is 480 ml
• the mug is from the Czech porcelain factory in Dubí u Teplic
• the porcelain is decorated with my original hand painting using special colours (colour glazes) for porcelain
• thanks to these colours being fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C, they are extremely durable
• you can safely wash the porcelain in the dishwasher. The colours I use blend perfectly with the porcelain (they soak into the glaze), and are therefore very durable
• use in a microwave oven is a matter of course

About hand painting:

• I hand paint porcelain, so each product is original
• the resulting image may therefore differ slightly from the photograph
• I paint with special coloured glazes that are very durable
