• porcelain mug with infuser and lid decorated with a hand-painted motif of blooming sakura with a blue bird
• I was inspired to paint this motif by a 19th-century woodcut housed in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
• in Japan, the festival of blooming sakura, called hanami, is celebrated in spring
• the motif of birds sitting on various trees and flowers is a very popular motif in Japanese painting

 About the porcelain:

• the mug's capacity is 300 ml
  
• the mug is from a Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice.
• the porcelain is decorated with my original hand-painting using special porcelain paints (coloured glazes) that were fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C
  
• the porcelain can be safely washed in the dishwasher. The decorations on the mug are very durable.
• use in the microwave oven is a matter of course

About hand-painting:

• I hand-paint on porcelain, so each product is unique
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo
• I paint with special coloured glazes that are very durable
