• the inspiration for this motif came from a 19th-century woodcut in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
• in Japan, the festival of blooming sakura, called hanami, is celebrated in spring
• the motif of birds sitting on various trees and flowers is a very popular motif in Japanese painting
  

About the porcelain:

• the cup volume is 90 ml
• the cup is from a Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice
• the porcelain is decorated with my original hand painting using special porcelain paints (colored glazes), which were fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C
• you can safely wash the porcelain in the dishwasher. The decorations on the cup are very durable
• it is of course suitable for use in a microwave oven

About hand painting:

• I hand paint on porcelain, so each product is original
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo
• I paint with special colored glazes that are very durable
