Porcelain sugar bowl with lid with a blossoming sakura motif, 200 ml
Let spring Japan refresh your home!
- Porcelain sugar bowl with lid decorated with a hand-painted motif of blossoming sakura with a blue bird
- I was inspired to paint this motif by a 19th-century woodcut, which is in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
- in Japan, the festival of blossoming sakura, called hanami, is celebrated in spring
- the motif of birds sitting on various trees and flowers is very popular in Japanese painting
- you can also complement your tea set with a sugar bowl from the same collection
About the porcelain:
- the sugar bowl has a volume of 200 ml
- the porcelain is from the Czech porcelain factory in Dubí u Teplic
- the porcelain is decorated with my original hand-painting using special porcelain colors (colored glazes) that were fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C
- you can safely wash the porcelain in the dishwasher. The decorations on the sugar bowl are very durable
- use in a microwave oven is also a matter of course

About hand-painting:
- I hand-paint on porcelain, so each product is original
- the resulting image may differ slightly from the photograph
- I paint with special colored glazes that are very durable
About the collection Bird on Sakura:
