• porcelain tea set decorated with hand-painted blooming sakura with a blue bird
  
• I was inspired to paint this motif by a 19th-century woodcut housed in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague
• in Japan, the festival of blooming sakura, called hanami, is celebrated in spring
• the motif of birds sitting on various trees and flowers is a very popular motif in Japanese painting
• you can complement the tea set with a sugar bowl from the same collection
  

   

About the porcelain:

• teapot volume is 950 ml, mug volume is 200 ml
  
• the porcelain is from the Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice
• the porcelain is decorated with my original hand-painting using special porcelain paints (color glazes) that were fired in a ceramic kiln at 1160 °C
• you can safely wash the porcelain in the dishwasher. The decorations on the porcelain are very durable
• it is also suitable for use in the microwave oven

About hand painting:

• I hand-paint on porcelain, which is why each product is an original
• the resulting image may differ slightly from the photo
• I paint with special colored glazes that are very durable
