Tea Set with Japanese Castle, Torii Gate, and Pagoda

Decorate your home with historical Japan!

• The porcelain is decorated with reproductions of my pen drawings of a Japanese castle, a torii gate, and a pagoda with a golden sun.
• Castles were key military centers during conflicts between clans and, after the unification of Japan, they were transformed into residences for nobles.
• The torii gate is an essential part of Shinto shrines; passing through the gate symbolizes the transition between our world and the world of deities.
• Pagodas often have five stories, each symbolizing one of the five Buddhist elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and sky).

 About the porcelain:

• The cup volume is 150 ml.
• The teapot volume is 500 ml.
• The porcelain is from the Czech porcelain factory in Dubí near Teplice.
• The porcelain is hand-decorated with porcelain decals, which were fired in a ceramic kiln at 820 °C.
  
• You can safely wash the porcelain in the dishwasher. The decorations on the porcelain are very durable.
• It is also suitable for use in the microwave oven.

About porcelain decals:

• Porcelain decals are reproductions of my original pen drawings.
• The decals are applied to the porcelain by hand, so the position of the images may vary slightly from the photo.
• The decals are produced by a specialized Czech company and are of high quality and durable.

• The collection is inspired by significant structures of historical Japan: pagodas, torii gates, and castles.
