ABOUT THE ROSE HIP TEA COLLECTION
The Rosehip Tea collection was created differently from the others. Its theme is practically not at all
"Japanese." The first products with rose hips were tea mugs, and I painted them to order. However, I designed
them in "my" style. Among other things, the pine collection was an inspiration. Variously twisted
branches with bundles of needles at the end. I also really like rosehip bushes in winter, i.e., practically without leaves,
just twigs with thorns and beautifully red berries like beads.

I couldn't even find a character for "rosehip" in Japanese (if anyone knows, I would be very happy for
an addition!). The character for rosehip is ローズヒップ (rōzuhippu) and there is a clear similarity with the English rosehip.
Although there is a flower called Japanese rose (or winter rose), it is not actually a rose,
but a camellia. The home of the Japanese camellia is the mountain and submontane regions of East Asia. It arrived in Europe
in the 19th century. Its fruits are not rose hips, but green berries.
The first more comprehensive collection with rose hips was created in the spring of 2016 for the Animefest in Brno, where I went every
year with a sales stall as part of Craft Alley. I firmly believe that this year, after a one-year break, it will
take place.

You can see this winter's Rosehip Tea collection traditionally on porcelain, glass, textiles, and jewelry.
