ABOUT THE "MORNING BENEATH THE CHERRY BLOSSOM" COLLECTION
In Japan, every spring, the festival of blooming cherry blossoms, called Hanami 花見, is celebrated. It doesn't fall on one specific day but is celebrated wherever the cherry blossoms are in bloom. This usually occurs from the end of March until the end of April. People celebrate hanami with picnics, heading to parks full of blossoming trees, especially when the cherry blossoms are slowly fading. The short time that cherry blossoms are in bloom symbolizes the transience of human life in Japan.
During the Hanami season, special sweets and drinks are also available, into which cherry blossom petals are added. My favorite is "hanami dango" in cream, pink, and green colors.

My collection Morning under a Cherry Blossom (which I simply call hanami) transports you to spring in Japan, walking through a sun-drenched park full of cherry blossoms, whose pink petals slowly drift away in a gentle breeze. And you just enjoy that pink flood...

And where did the brand HA-NA-MI come from?
Of course, the cherry blossom festival was the biggest inspiration! I've been painting blooming cherry blossoms since the very beginning of my work in 2014.

The collection Morning under a Cherry Blossom is still your favorite. Few people can resist the cherry blossom motif :). That's why you'll find everything in this collection... from tea sets to stickers.
