ABOUT THE "BIRD ON A CHERRY BLOSSOM" COLLECTION
In the autumn of 2014, after a long delay, my husband and I finally visited the exhibition of Asian art collections in the Kinský Palace on Old Town Square in Prague, managed by the National Gallery. What started as a leisure activity turned into a very valuable source of inspiration. Several beautiful works from Japan and China gradually became the inspiration for our creations.
Dragon and phoenix, koi carp with geometric patterns, or the bird on a sakura branch, which I would like to introduce to you now.
I actually don't know if the blue bird is sitting on a sakura tree. It could also be a plum or peach tree, which are also often featured in Japanese and Chinese art. Unfortunately, the description of the painting does not specify which flowering tree it is.
