Autumn is my favorite season. Not too hot, not too cold… and those colors!

In the autumn of 2017, I therefore decided to come up with something classically autumnal, in warm, rich autumn colors. The choice practically immediately fell on the maple. And because I love Japanese nature, of course, the Japanese maple. There are several types of Japanese maples, the most famous of which is the palmate maple. Unlike "our" Norway maple, it has characteristic elongated leaves.

The maple, which is very popular in Japan (and also in China), is, along with the chrysanthemum, a symbol of autumn. In autumn, people travel to the mountains to enjoy the colorful transformations of this tree. Likewise, it is an experience to walk through piles of fallen leaves on the ground.
In the last blog, I wrote about a bird on a cherry blossom, so various birds, of course, also perch on maples in Japanese and Chinese art…

In the original collection from 2017, the maples (with a bird) were in various designs…
You can see our current autumn collection on new porcelain from the traditional Czech porcelain factory Český porcelán Dubí, whose history dates back to 1864. Glass products are upcycled from old glass. Home textiles are a combination of 100% linen (beautiful to touch and behold) and orange fabric made before 1989. We will gradually add more pieces…
